Joan Mullen: Abstraction: Sculptural Installation

Joan Mullen has created a unified installation of colorful objects that filled the gallery and created a sense of intrigue and mystery.   It’s was a mixed media exhibition of sculptural elements created with plaster, oil and wax.  The artist “begins with a feeling, gesture or impulse that she strives to translate into sculptural form.”  To Joan, the individual “sculptures allude to an organic and human maturation that convey both the strength and vulnerability of the human condition.”
