Artist Membership

New Memberships are very important to help Unbound Visual Arts (UVA) achieve its important goals of exhibiting, educating and sharing art for everyone.  It’s just $40 for Artist membership and $20 for 65+ and full time students.  Or if you wish, a Sustaining membership is just $100. New Artist Members should also complete the New Member Artist Registration Form. One of the purposes of this form to create your webpage on the Unbound Visual Arts website.

Unbound Visual Arts provides free memberships to EBT and ConnectorCare Card holders.  Just email us at Info@UnboundVisualArts.org and include a copy of your card.  We can also arrange for you to bring your card to UVA’s headquarters for verification.

Annual Membership Categories (New Members)




You can also toggle to different membership categories. Membership donations for artists start at $40.00 per year or $20.00 for 65+ and Students.  Artists should also complete the New Member Artist Registration Form.

Many companies will double charitable contributions made by their employees. Check with your company’s Human Resources Department or check your company’s website.  Many companies use Benevity, where Unbound Visual Arts is certified, for their employees to donate directly to non-profits.

Unbound Visual Arts’ free memberships to EBT card holders is through the EBT Card to Culture which is a joint venture between the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA), the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and many of the best cultural institutions across the Commonwealth.  EBT Card to Culture allows those receiving benefits from DTA to access museums, performances, and other cultural programming at a reduced or free cost.  UVA also offers free admission to EBT holders.  Starting January 1, 2020, UVA will also offer free memberships to holders of the Massachusetts Health Connector Card through the ConnectorCare Card to Culture program.

Unbound Visual Arts, Inc. (UVA) is a 501 (c)(3) charitable corporation and as such all contributions are fully deductible in accordance with IRS law.  UVA’s EIN number is 37-1703323. Unbound is also registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Public Charities and incorporated as a non-profit corporation with the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth.

UVA is a a local non-profit art organization that enriches the community with educational and inspiring exhibitions and programs.   All members will have many opportunities to be included in UVA’s many exhibitions.   UVA wants its artists to be able to focus their time and energy on their art.  So, an artist that is part of a UVA exhibition can expect that:

  • All exhibition installations and de-installations are managed by UVA
  • All publicity, including postcard and website pages, is managed by UVA
  • All opening receptions are managed by UVA and include live music and refreshments
  • All exhibitions are placed on UVA’s website for public viewing and purchase.
  • All exhibitions are professionally organized and curated
  • All exhibitions are covered by art insurance

You can also mail your membership donation to Unbound Visual Arts, 320 Washington Street, Suite 200, Brighton, MA 02135. We have over 150 members from throughout the greater Boston area including Allston, Arlington, Brighton, Brookline, Cambridge, Jamaica Plain, Newton, Salem, Somerville, South End, Watertown, and Weston,  There is no residency and no jury requirement for members. When you join Unbound Visual Arts, you are making a valuable contribution to its success as a leader in contemporary visual arts. Our members are also members of several other art organizations, including Allston Arts District Open Studios, the Arsenal Center for the Arts, Brickbottom Artists Association, Brookline Open Studios, Cambridge Art Association, the Concord Center for the Visual Arts (formerly (the Concord Art Association), Galatea Fine Art, Newton Art Association, Newton Open Studios, the Newburyport Art Association, the Watertown Art Association and many others.
