Ruth Nelson

Ruth loves to look at common objects and see hidden compositions in them. She also loves to discover and create interconnections – in the world, in her life and in her art. Her work is often surreal, humorous, disturbing, peaceful, and joyful. It includes humans and animals, culture and nature.

Most recently, she’s been combining collage, assemblage and photography. She prints some images as she finds them in the world. She does paper collage with found images and/or pieces of her photographs. She also makes temporary collages or assemblages and then takes photographs of them.
