Artist Statement
It starts with a found object or objects, a recycling of energy, giving new life and new meaning to something discarded. She’s not sure why she’s drawn to a particular item or why she picks it up, she just is, and she just does. She believes it to be something spiritual.
In these altered assemblies she uses traditional textile techniques with non-traditional materials. As of late there is a reoccurring theme revolving around self, home and family.
