Artist Statement:

My art teaches me to be patient, play and connect. Connecting is what inspires me and being able to create work that connects my feelings to others is the greatest gift.

I am inspired by the complexities and humor of life. Much of my work involves a sense of home, which evokes a number of feelings from peace and independence to insecurity and anxiety.

The body is also a home of sorts. My paintings represent my own struggle of body image and a longing to be faceless in a crowded world.

Connecting my hand to my canvas to the viewer. Making the connection in art and life is what I long for.
