Abigail Lee Goldberger, a member of Unbound of Visual Arts and a former resident of Allston, was born in Boston Massachusetts. She has lived in various places across the United States and Australia and currently resides in California. She graduated from University of Massachusetts Boston in 2012 with a BA in Latin American Studies and Iberian Studies while minoring in Environmental Science. Beyond her degree, Abigail has taken formal classes in animation, pottery, metalsmithing, printmaking, and drawing. She has been immersed in art her entire life, and spent her childhood in her mother’s studio who was a stone sculptor. Being free and benefiting from making mistakes then seeing where they took her is why she chose to be primarily self-taught in painting. Abigail’s work is inspired by folk art, surrealism, and children’s books. She has shown in many exhibitions and events including; the Boston Convention & Exposition Center as part of the MCCA’s Neighborhood Arts Program, Joy Street Open Studios in Somerville MA, and the Boston Biennial at The Gallery at Spencer Lofts, Chelsea, MA.
